Race No. 1 for the Vanderlaan Building Products Ltd Northeast Late Model Alliance Series was a success. A total of eighteen drivers travelled to Port Colborne, ON to Humberstone Speedway on Sunday, July 3rd to participate in first event for the series.
Qualifier No. 1 of the night was won by Brighton, Ontario native Nathan Rinaldi (No. 73, Brighton Recycling). Charlie Sandercock (No. 57, Bellevue Fabricating) out of Trenton, Ontario took home qualifier No. 2 and another Trenton, Ontario native Kyle Sopaz (No. 11, Oasis Fuels) took home the third and final qualifier of the night.
The 30-lap feature event paid $1,200.00 to win and $300.00 to start, the evening’s purse was sponsored by Dibbit’s Landscape Supply out of Trenton, ON. Winning the July 3rd event was Port Colborne, ON native Rob Ledingham (No. J19, Blast All Equipment & Supply). Austin King (No. 89, Durmach Excellence in Tooling) from Port Hope, ON had an impressive performance and placed in the runner up position. Jeff Dayman (No. 44), Kyle Sopaz (No. 11, Oasis Fuels) and Adam Turner (No. 92, Lots & Lines Traffic Markings) round off the top five.
