NLMA Series Kicks Off this Saturday

The 2026 Vanderlaan Building Products Northeast Late Model Alliance season gets underway this weekend!

The $5,000-to-win championship campaign begins Saturday, May 9 at Brighton Speedway with the annual Lid Lifter, paying $2,026 to win. Reigning 2025 champion Charlie Sandercock is expected to be on hand as he looks to defend his title against a strong field of the region’s top contenders.

Following the opener, the series heads west for the annual Victoria Day event at Merrittville Speedway on Monday, May 18, presented by Blastall Equipment. This race will pay $2,000 to win in 2026 and was captured last season by Brian McDonald.

The tour then continues to western Ontario with a visit to Ohsweken Speedway on Friday, July 3 for another $2,000-to-win event, also presented by Blastall Equipment.

A doubleheader weekend is scheduled for August 22–23, featuring back-to-back $2,000-to-win events—Saturday night at Brighton Speedway and Sunday at Cornwall Motor Speedway.

After Cornwall, the series heads south of the border to Can-Am Speedway on Saturday, September 12, appearing alongside the Super DIRTcar Series.

As always, the season finale will take place during Applefest weekend at Brighton Speedway on September 25–26, highlighted by the $4,000-to-win Great Crate Race.
