One of the most anticipated dates on the 2024 Brockville Ontario Speedway is coming up fast.
The popular Eastern Ontario oval on Temperance Lake Road will host the province’s only Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modified tour stop with the Canadian Classic – Wednesday, July 24th – with the Vanderlaan Building Products Northeast Late Model Alliance joining the raceday line-up again this year. Advance tickets for the 100-lap extravaganza are available now through the Brockville Speedway website.
Nathan Rinaldi is the current NLMA point leader, on the strength of his 2 main event victories. He is 12 points ahead of Brandon Mowat, with Adam Turner, Steve Baldwin and Kyle Sopaz rounding-out the top-5 positions in the championship standings. To date, more than 35 different drivers have earned points in at least one Vanderlaan Building Products Northeast Late Model Alliance main event.
Chad Homan scored the main event win Sunday, June 30th at Humberstone Speedway over David Pangrazio, Stan Zanchin, Steve Baldwin and Rob Ledingham. Pangrazio picked-up the win Friday, July 12th at Ohsweken Speedway. Baldwin, Brandon Mowat, Craig Graham and Kyle Sopaz rounded-out the top 5. Following the mid-week special at Brockville, the tour is booked for back-to-back dates Saturday, July 27th and Sunday, July 28th at Brighton and Cornwall Motor Speedway.
In 2023, Adam Turner scored the win at Brockville, over Nathan Rinaldi, Steve Baldwin, Charlie Sandercock and Ryan Lambert. Brockville Ontario Speedway is a facility where the Ameliasburg, Ontario racer has logged multiple trips to the winner’s circle, taking checkered flags in 5 different divisions throughout his career.
