New Pro Late Model Alliance Hits Northeast

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: March 5, 2018

Four Weekly Late Model Tracks have teamed up to create a new Alliance in the Northeast to showcase the class to the predominantly Dirt Modified are and to give their drivers a little something more to race for.  The Promoters of Brighton Speedway, Fulton Speedway, Genesee Speedway and Humberstone Speedway have created the Northeast Late Model Alliance.

The mini-series will have a focus on drivers competing at their home tracks by gaining tour points at designated home track events while giving them an opportunity to venture out and race on some new tracks for a limited combined schedule.  The combine schedule will consist of six races where all the drivers will come together and do battle for a points championship.

“The goal is really simple, we wish to create a buzz around Late Model racing and host events that show case the division up here in the Northeast in an affordable way so that the tracks, the drivers and the fans will benefit from seeing larger car counts at the combined events” states Brighton Speedway Promoter Mark Rinaldi.  Rinaldi goes on to say “This format has been in place in Ontario for years for our Street Stocks and we now have five tracks involved in a similar set of rules.  This format and class is flourishing at each of the tracks and we hope to see this new mini-series add some diversity and excitement in the same way to the Late Models in the Northeast so they can continue to keep growing as they have in recent years”.

Home track events will be held at each of the member tracks and will be regular distance and purse events where the drivers will collect points towards the mini-series points standings.  Drivers will be required to designate their home track prior to the start of the season in order to prevent a driver from collecting home track points at more than one track and all home track events will be complete prior to July 1st.  Each combined race will pay a minimum $1000.00 to win as well as a year end points fund will be distributed.

With three of the four tracks Rush Late Model sanctioned and the fourth track following Rush Late Model rules all cars are already on an equal rules package.  This solves half the battle when trying to put together events like these and making sure cars wanting to compete are all on a level playing field.

The four promoters along with satellite promoters are all working closely together to ensure that there is no scheduling conflicts for any of the combined events.  More details about the Northeast Late Model Alliance schedule, sponsors, purses and points funds are expected shortly.
