BRIGHTON ON (December 21, 2022)- The Vanderlaan Building Products Northeast Late Model Alliance Officials would like to thank all participating drivers, crews, and race fans for another successful year for the series. The NLMA series travelled to five different tracks across Ontario making 10 out of 11 of the scheduled events. Five different drivers took home feature wins this year, Charlie Sandercock (No. 57) brings home four wins, Andrew Hennessy (No. 87) with three wins, Ron Ledingham (No.19), Adam Turner (No. 92) and Sam Pennachio (No. 311) all with one win each this season.
TEEM 57/87 often went 1-2 for their feature finishes sweeping seven out of ten events. Sandercock may have beat Hennessy on the number of feature wins, but Hennessy proved himself to be the more consistent finisher earning himself a 472-point total (21 pt lead). For the second year in a row Andrew Hennessy (No. 87) is crowned the series Champion, winning himself the $5,000.00 purse, sponsored by Vanderlaan Building Products Ltd. Sandercock finishes in the runner up position, Adam Turner third, Steve Baldwin (No.5) fourth and Austin King (No. 89) rounds off the top 5. The 2022 points fund will pay out to the top 12 placing drivers. Brighton Speedway drivers will receive their payout at the banquet (January 7th), any remaining drivers please contact Brighton Speedway at brightonspeedwayinfo@gmail.com to arrange payment after Jan 7th.
